Geelong
Anna completed a Bachelor of Optometry in 2004 at the University of Melbourne and has been an optometrist with GMHBA Eye Care since its inception. She enjoys all aspects of general optometry and particularly enjoys adapting the dynamic of her consultations to all patients with achieving best visual and ocular health outcomes.
Alice completed her Optometry Masters/Bachelor of Vision Science at Deakin University in 2016. Alice has been a part of the GMHBA team for over 2 years and has a broad interest in all aspects of optometry.
Sarah graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) in 2003. She has been practising optometry in Geelong for the past 18 years and has been with the team at GMHBA Eye Care since its inception. Sarah enjoys the caring side of optometry and taking the time to get to know her patients in order to provide excellent care and advice suitable to their needs.
Ballarat
Adam completed a Bachelor of Optometry degree at the University of New South Wales in 2005. He enjoys all aspects of optometry but has a particular interest in ocular disease. He has a love of language, speaking English and Polish and can hold a basic conversation in Spanish. Adam enjoys spending time with his young kids, gardening and is also learning Portuguese and Russian.
Leopold
Georgia completed a Bachelor of Science at University of Melbourne in 2014, before going on to complete a Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Optometry at Deakin University in 2017. Georgia is therapeutically endorsed and enjoys all aspects of general optometry, with a particular interest in glaucoma.
Tobi completed his Bachelor of Biomedicine and Doctor of Optometry at University of Melbourne. After working in several locations across Victoria, he finally settled in with GMHBA in 2017. Tobi enjoys practicing all aspects of optometry, however, has a special interest in dry eye disease, paediatrics, and sports vision. He is also passionate about community outreach work with experience internationally and in rural Australia.
Natasha is a graduate of The University of Johannesburg in South Africa, where she received a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Optometry degree. Upon immigrating to Australia, she completed the OCANZ examination in 2013, which enabled her to practice Optometry. She enjoys practicing all aspects of Optometry and has a particular interest in Ocular diseases such as glaucoma.
Zara completed her Bachelor of Vision science and Master of Optometry in 2018. Having worked in rural Victoria for most of her career, she recently moved back to her home town to be closer to family and friends. Zara's areas of special interest include; paediatric, orthokertology fitting (including Toric orthoK), myopia control, glaucoma, civil aviation safety authority (CASA) Testing and macular diseases. She loves to spend time with her dog, Meshki, is a passionate supporter of the Geelong Football Club and enjoys adventuring around Australia and abroad.
Waurn Ponds
Alannah completed a Bachelor of Science degree at The Melbourne University in 2012. She then went on to study a Master of Optometry degree at Deakin University, graduating in 2016. Alannah enjoys general optometry, with a particular interest in eye diseases such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
Amanda is GMHBA Eye Care’s Clinical Manager and has a wealth of 20 years’ experience as an optometrist. She completed her Bachelor of Optometry at the University of Melbourne in 1997 and returned to study in 2018 for her Ocular Therapeutics certification. Amanda began her optometry career in 1998 with Moran, Pritchard & Roche before it was acquired by GMHBA in 2015.
Amanda is passionate about being part of GMHBA’s health team in providing benefits to her local community through new technologies and best practice treatment options. She is dedicated to understanding her patients concerns in order to find the best solution suited to their individual needs. In her spare time you’ll find Amanda enjoying a puzzle and time with her family.
Andrew graduated from Melbourne University in 2010 and has worked in practices across Melbourne and Geelong. He enjoys the work-life balance gained from his subsequent move to the Geelong region in 2020. Andrew is passionate about all areas of optometry but is particularly interested in contact lenses, myopia control and therapeutics. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his daughter.
Daniel completed his optometry degree at Deakin University in 2015. Prior to this he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Science double degree through Monash University in 2008. Daniel’s decision to become an optometrist was made easier by the fact both his parents are optometrists (so too was his grandfather). Daniel enjoys all aspects of optometry but has a keen interest in contact lenses and kids’ vision.
